Waterfalls

There's a lot to be said for outdoor fountains, but many people out there prefer the cascading water sounds provided by a waterfall.  It seems that most waterfall designs consist of using natural elements, such as stone or lava rock to create the cascading effect that brings peace and relaxation to the mind.

You'll want to make sure you place your outdoor waterfall where you'll have relatively easy, as well as safe, access to electricity.  That is, of course, unless you plan to purchase a solar fountain instead.  You'll also want to find as level ground as possible so that the water flows as designed down the fountain structure.

Why not combine a waterfall with an existing water feature such as a koi pond?  Waterfalls can make an excellent addition to your outdoor water areas or any place you'd like to have the calming effects of running water.

Most waterfalls are made of either natural stone, cast concrete (faux stone), fiberglass, composite resin or even plastic.  Make sure you pick one that will stand up to the weather.  You'll want to enjoy your investement for many relaxful years to come.
